Here is a short list of some of the changes that have been implemented and sustained: Social media use as a communications, public relations, branding, professional growth, and student learning tool implemented in 2009. Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) implemented in 2011. The Professional Growth Period (PGP) implemented in 2013.

Normally, many rural districts work with local libraries and businesses to provide students with WiFi hotspots. Ann also attended the 2014 White House Connected Superintendents Summit and was named a 2012-2013 NSBA Technology Leadership Network 20 to Watch Educator. Quick news on Library 2.013 , our third annual worldwide, online, and free conference on libraries, librarians, and librarianship: the formal deadline for session proposals is end of day Monday, September 30th. Next Tuesday and Wednesday, October 1st and 2nd, are the kickoff days for the 2013 Connected Educator Month (CEM).
