For more advanced editing features and more try Camtasia for free up to 30 days. The recordings are uploaded to Youtube for students to easily access. Your students need a code to access the recordings, which I still think is an extra step too many but you can set up classes and send group messages and feedback to the class.

Host it with popcorn and later add the videos to a site for parents to access. The free version lets you publish up to 5 minutes a month and have access to 22 songs. Camtasia provides a free 30 day trial and has access to incredible editing features, transitions, and screen recording options. Enjoyed this post?

Not to mention software tutorials on programs such as iTunes and Camtasia. There are advertisements on the site, but when you are accessing a training video, you no longer see the ads. The students downloaded them to their computers and mobile devices and watched them at home, at their convenience. If students don''t have internet access at home (this is becoming less and less of a problem), you will need to pre-load your lectures onto an iPod, print out your slides, or burn them to a CD.

Camtasia and Screencast-O-Matic are excellent alternatives to OBS studio. Students view screencasts on computers, monitors, tablets, or mobile devices with different resolutions and screen sizes. Viewing on a mobile device may result in illegible text and too small screenshots with the wrong resolution setting.

To create a more student-centered learning environment, the first part of the iBook featured screencasts of the lectures that instructors created using Camtasia. With access to a multitude of information in a student’s pocket at any given time it seems frivolous to spend valuable classroom time together on just lecture.
