Since I have a library of instructional videos and text documents for students to get the initial learning from, I have time-shifted myself and now students can learn the “next” thing asynchronously without my doing direct instruction to the whole class at the same time. . Layne and The Read-Aloud Handbook by Jim Trelease. Some hospitals will send The Read-Aloud Handbook home with new parents. It was a book I relied on when I taught elementary school. MY STUDENTS ARE NOT IN ELEMENTARY SCHOOL. Two words: Public library. BUT WHAT IF I HAVEN’T READ ALOUD TO MY CHILD UP UNTIL NOW?
